First off (ahem), I VOW THERE WILL BE NO SPOILERS FOR THE END OF LOST HERE. A friend of mine just started watching the last season, so I don’t want to kill his momentum.

There have been arguments about whether or not it was a good finale. Whether enough questions were answered. Whether the right questions were answered.

I didn’t care about that.

What kept me coming back to Lost was the characters, and watching them attempt to relate to each other and come to terms with themselves. Every character was alone and flawed in some way, and my fascination was in watching them work their ways out of that. It was, ultimately, a story about the fundamental nature of humanity and how we must   attempt to find connection with each other, and the emotions involved in doing such a thing.

In my opinion, the finale succeeded brilliantly in bringing that story to a close.

Your mileage may vary.

P.S. Oh, and speaking of absolutely nothing related to that, come back Thursday for an ASTOUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT OF AWESOMENESS! Exclamation point!
